The pool of additional PLN 10 million for co-financing school trips as part of the ministerial project “Get to know Poland”. Recruitment started on October 28 and will last until the additional amount of money is exhausted. This is another opportunity for educational institutions from all over the country to take advantage of funding for a trip to the Old Mine.
We would like to remind you that the Old Mine Science and Art Center in Wałbrzych is on the list of tourist facilities to which a school trip can get a lot of funding. The Museum of Industry and Technology operating here with a tourist route through the former hard coal mine offers not only almost 2-hour guided tours of the facility, but also a wide range of educational and artistic activities.
The aim of the ministerial project “Get to know Poland” is to enable schools to diversify and make the lessons and the process of transferring knowledge more attractive. It gives many students the opportunity to get to know the country and its attractions, cultural monuments or the natural environment. It allows to fulfill the practical dimension of the educational role of the school. As part of the project, schools from September have been able to take advantage of 80 percent co-financing of the costs of a school trip.
Many schools decided to use these funds for a trip to Wałbrzych, and among them schools not only from our region took advantage of the educational offer of the Old Mine.
You can still sign up groups and arrange such interesting museum activities and artistic workshops such as Mechanical Mine, Mine Industrial Landscape, Around Mining Traditions or geological classes. Decorating workshops, decal stickers or cartographic classes are no less interesting.
More information about funding from the Meet Poland program can be found on the website of the Ministry of Education and Science, and the full offer of the Old Mine is available at www.starakopalnia.pl in the Education tab.
