For years, Lower Silesia has proven that tradition, history, and modern entertainment can go hand in hand. We invite you to take a brief look at the summer events that attract numerous visitors from Poland and abroad every year. Among these summer events, a special place is held by The Flax Festival & The Magic of Gardens at Łomnica Palace (Pałac Łomnica) (July 18–19), where you can learn about traditional crafts related to the cultivation and processing of flax, visit a fair featuring regional products, take part in handicraft workshops, and go for walks through historic gardens.

It’s also a good idea to mark the following in your calendar Paper Festival in Duszniki-Zdrój (July 25–26). At the historic Museum of Papermaking, you can watch a demonstration of handmade paper-making, participate in workshops, and learn about the history of one of Poland’s most valuable technical monuments.

An interesting option for web creators is Online Creators’ Gathering: Following the Trail of the Piast Castles at Świny Castle (July 25). The event combines tours of Piast-era strongholds with workshops, networking, and the promotion of Lower Silesia on social media.

History buffs and those who love the atmosphere of the borderlands enjoy visiting Jakuby in Zgorzelec (August 28–30) – a city festival celebrating merchant traditions, featuring concerts, a fair, performances, and events taking place on both sides of the Lusatian Neisse.

It attracts foodies The Bread and Gingerbread Festival in Jawor (August 28–30), where you can sample regional baked goods, learn the secrets of baking and gingerbread-making, and take part in cooking demonstrations and workshops.

One of the region’s most recognizable events remains Bolesławiec Ceramics Festival (August 19–23). It is Poland’s largest ceramics festival, featuring a trade fair with hundreds of exhibitors, pottery demonstrations, workshops, exhibitions, a ceramics parade, and concerts by famous artists.

For those who love outdoor adventures, it’s easy to recommend The OFCE in Oleśnica (August 14–16) – The Oleśnica Circus and Arts Festival, which brings the urban space to life with new circus performances, acrobatics, street theater, music, and shows for audiences of all ages. This event showcases just how diverse and inspiring Lower Silesia’s cultural offerings can be.
