Kłodzko Land (ziemia kłodzka)

The Kłodzko region, whose central part is the Kłodzko Valley, surrounded by the Bystrzyckie, Stołowe, and Bardzkie Mountains, and the Śnieżnik Massif, is one of the most beautiful regions in Poland. Its attractions include unspoiled nature and fantastic hiking opportunities, including ski slopes, spa towns, and a wide range of accommodations.

Description

It is a region rich in tourist attractions, covered with a dense network of well-marked hiking trails – a dream destination for hikers, skiers, caving, horseback riding and mountain biking enthusiasts.

Must-see sites of natural beauty include the Czarna Góra peak, at an elevation of 1,205 meters above sea level, with the vast, year-round Czarna Góra Resort tourist complex, visible from almost anywhere in Kłodzko Land; Niedźwiedzia Cave in Kletno—one of Poland’s most beautiful caves in terms of its stalactite and stalagmite formations; the Błędne Skały Nature Reserve, which encompasses a group of peculiar rock formations ranging from six to eleven meters in height, formed by the weathering of sandstone. Błędne Skały is a labyrinth of crevices and nooks forming a tourist trail several hundred meters long with unique charm; Szczeliniec Wielki —the highest peak of the Stołowe Mountains, standing at 919 m, with a magnificent viewpoint. The flat summit is a vast labyrinth formed naturally from uniquely shaped rock formations.

The Kłodzko Land also boasts a fantastic architectural heritage. Among the most unique structures are the spectacular fortress in Kłodzko and the one in nearby Srebrna Góra, which is more often associated with the Sowie Mountains than with Kłodzko Land. It’s also impossible not to mention the mines and underground passages, such as the uranium mine in Kletno, the gold mine in Złoty Stok, or the Underground Tourist Route in Kłodzko, all of which provide an excellent introduction to the broader Trail of Mysterious Underground Passages. And, of course, the health resorts, including those in Duszniki, Długopol, Kudowa, Polanica , and Lądek.
