The Srebrna Góra Fortress is a unique site in the scale of Europe’s military cultural heritage and one of Lower Silesia’s most important attractions. The most impressive attraction is the massive Donjon, one of the most interesting fortifications of the modern era.

The sheer size of the entire complex and its location on the peaks make the Srebrna Góra stronghold one of the largest mountain defense structures on our continent. During their stay, visitors have the opportunity to meet with a soldier-guided guide who provides an engaging account of the Fortress’s history and interesting facts. The program includes a tour of the casemates, including an underground water intake with a well (53 meters deep carved into the rock) and a collection mechanism, an underground drawbridge, and a walk across the deepest moat in Poland. Adults, children, and young people will also learn about the full range of fortress artillery used to defend the fortress, including the firing of a replica of the largest cannon in Silesia. All attractions and exhibitions have been designed to avoid tiring or boring visitors, but rather to transport them back to the 18th-century history of the mountain fortress.
