Plenty of trails, winding roads, beautiful views – a bicycle paradise for single-track enthusiasts. In Lower Silesia, or more precisely in Klodzko Land, the mountains can be explored not only from the perspective of hiking, but also exciting descents. And all this thanks to the longest network of singletrack routes in Europe, created especially for those who want to feel a bit of excitement and traverse miles of bike trails.

Singletrack Glacensis – what is it?

Singletrack Glacensis are bicycle routes designed for mountain bikers, usually running through narrow forest paths with a stone-lined surface. In the case of Singletrack Glacensis, the routes are specially prepared – laid out, well-marked, paved and leveled. They lead primarily through the forest, but beautiful mountain views also emerge along the way.

The Singletrack Glacensis network in Lower Silesia consists of 28 loops. On each route, you return to the starting point after a lap. Being in Klodzko Land, you can choose a route starting in one of several towns. The bike paths are located from Srebrna Gora all the way to Międzylesie, with a different route in almost every town in between. Using the Glacensis Singletracks is possible in the entire Klodzko Basin, the routes have a total length of about 260 km.

Something good for everyone, or how to start the adventure with the Glacensis Singletracks?

Seeing footage of fast-flying cyclists or photos of professional cyclists hovering in the air, you might think that these roads are only for people with a lot of experience and who like adrenaline. Nothing could be further from the truth. Singletrack Glacensis trails offer a wide range of biking routes, so they will satisfy both those looking for a lot of excitement and those who are just beginning their adventure with this type of challenge.

Family routes, enduro, mtb – among the many proposals, everyone will be able to find something for themselves, as thanks to the varied routes there are no age or fitness restrictions. Experienced cyclists who like to set the bar high in cycling will enjoy routes such as the enduro in Srebrna Góra, the Laszczowa loop in Bard or the Trojak loop in Ladek-Zdroj. These types of roads will surprise riders with difficult climbs, speed during descents, obstacles in the form of hills, gangways, footbridges or sharp turns.

When taking a singletrack route for the first time, or for a family ride with small children, consider biking trails such as the Jagodna loop, the Chwalislaw loop in Klodzko, or the loop below Sniezk in Miedzygórze. These are easy roads, do not require good fitness preparation, and the small hills should not cause any problems for amateur cyclists, so everyone can manage them.

Singletrack Glacensis – safe driving

When deciding to mountain ride, it is always important to remember to prepare properly. First of all, the right bike – it must be a mountain bike and in good working order. It is necessary to remember about your safety, so a helmet is a mandatory accessory. Conveniently, in many towns where there are Singletrack Glacensis roads, you can rent a bicycle with all the equipment. The routes are very well marked, you can also get maps locally, there are gates in front of the entrance to the loops that mark the beginning of the route, and electric bike charging stations are erected along the way. As a result, there is no need to have any worries before embarking on a singletrack adventure, and all that remains is to enjoy sporting moments in contact with nature.
