Tajemnicza Kraina Turisede

Kulturinsel is a place with a fascinating and mind-blowing story. The plot is wrapped around the civilization of the mysterious Turisede people. It is said that thousands of years ago they inhabited the area of central Lusatia and mastered to perfection the art of building in wood. You can learn about their fate and achievements by visiting the museum located at the main entrance.

Legend has it that one of the civilization achievements of the Turisedis was the custom of settling in tree houses. Hence, accommodations in wooden cabins are offered in the park. But if you think they are a few planks nailed together crosswise, you are very much mistaken! The cottages are little masterpieces – each of them is unique, differently equipped, each is patronized by a different spirit of the Turisede people (and speaking of spirits – each overnight guest here will experience the “Midnight Adventure”- a special game organized within the park). Most of the cottages are connected by above-ground terraces.

For lovers of adventurous overnight stays, in addition to treehouses, there are: Earthhouses, Forest Estate, Bivakum Tents, Wooden Beds, or Cocoons of Dreams – there is something for everyone’s pocket and imagination.

You can also get acquainted with the Turisede people and their customs by participating in an unusual Krönum, or theatrical feast. This is an award-winning show in the form of a dinner combined with a theatrical performance. Although the show is held in German, Polish guests are extremely welcome.

On the Polish side – Turius Corner

The Kulturinsel Adventure Park also stretches out on the Polish side of the Lusatian Neisse River, in the village of Bielawa Dolna. Here, too, in the Turius Corner, numerous attractions await visitors – including. friendly animals in the Buffalo Community, Goat Labyrinth, 3D shooting range, Forest art gallery of the Turisede people. Lookout tower – Camera Obscura – provides a unique opportunity to observe the area. The cafe, where the escape room game “Secret Hideout” was installed, tells the story of an eccentric researcher of the history of Turisede, Count Welldone. The goal of his search was supposedly the mysterious Turisede crab. The first mention of his being in Bielawa Dolna appears in the 1860s. All hearing of him dies in dramatic circumstances in April 1945…. An additional attraction of this colorful village is undoubtedly the Sculpture Garden, where you can admire wooden works of art by Mr. Mieczyslaw Grabuńczyk.
