The Association of Municipalities of Klodzko Land was established in 1992 to support the idea of local self-government and promote the region. In February 1994, after being entered in the Register of Associations, it began its activities. Members of the Association include 17 municipal governments of the subregion from the Kłodzko and Ząbkowice districts.

The beginnings concerned the exchange of experience between municipal governments, and the improvement of the skills of local government employees through the organization of training courses, conferences and seminars. We took a position on the development of telecommunications in the region, gasification, unemployment prevention, computerization, maintenance of railroads, and gave opinions and comments on proposed and implemented laws and regulations.

Today, the Association’s activities are focused on the development of tourism in the region, promotion of the region, building partnership projects and building a lobby for improving the transportation system of Klodzko Land.
