Program

Day 1: Departure according to the timetable (meeting 15 minutes before departure), transfer to Kłodzko. Kłodzko owes its unique character to its turbulent history spanning over 1,000 years. The fortress, perched on Forteczna Hill, is one of Lower Silesia's most fascinating attractions and is among the most valuable works of modern defensive architecture in Poland and Europe. A walk through the underground labyrinth of mining tunnels is unforgettable, and the view from the observation bastion over the city and surrounding area will captivate everyone. In the center of the market square, the 19th-century town hall with its Renaissance tower and the Baroque municipal well remain. The market square's frontages are lined with tenement houses dating from the 16th to the mid-20th century. An artificial watercourse, known as the Młynówka, was dug in the Middle Ages, and the resulting island was named Piasek (Sand). The Gothic St. John's Bridge, adorned with Baroque sculptures, connects the two banks of the canal. Transfer to the hotel, dinner, accommodation, overnight stay. Day 2: After breakfast, we'll head to the Table Mountains National Park. For those visiting Lower Silesia's renowned spa towns, the Table Mountains are a major tourist attraction. We also recommend a walk among the stunning rock formations at Szczeliniec or Błędne Skały. Another regional attraction is Wambierzyce, dominated by the Baroque Basilica of the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary. The town's unique atmosphere as a center of religious worship is enhanced by the extensive Calvary, with its numerous chapels and 14 gates, reminiscent of Jerusalem. A unique work of religious culture is the Skull Chapel in Czermna, whose interior is covered with approximately 3,000 tightly packed human skulls and bones. Kudowa-Zdrój is a historic spa town that has been operating since the 17th century. As in the past, the 19th-century spa park, with its mineral water pump room and music garden, is a meeting place for spa guests. Historic sanatorium buildings such as Zameczek and Polonia are captivating in their beauty. Transfer to the hotel, dinner, and overnight stay. Day 3: After breakfast, group 1 will have free time for individual activities, while group 2 will go on an optional excursion (additional fee) to the Rock Town in the Czech Republic. A walk among the sandstone rock formations, picturesquely carved by nature, leaves an unforgettable impression. Here, you'll find a rock waterfall, the beautiful emerald lake of an old sand quarry surrounded by colorful vegetation, and the upper lake, where a multi-person boat ride is an interesting attraction. We'll stop for a few moments in Náchod. A Renaissance castle dominates this border town. Below the castle hill lies the Old Town, where you can find architectural gems such as St. Lawrence's Church, the Municipal Theatre, the Post Office, and the new Town Hall. Transfer to the hotel, dinner, and overnight stay. Day 4: After breakfast and check-out, we'll visit the Papermaking Museum in Duszniki-Zdrój, housed in Poland's only surviving paper mill dating back to 1605. We'll also discover some of the secrets of the townhouses while strolling around the market square and surrounding streets. We'll depart for our return journey, arriving in the evening.
