1. By train and bus

   Lower Silesia has excellent transportation links, making it easy to reach many of the region’s attractions by train or bus. Long-distance routes are operated by Intercity, while the local carrier is Koleje Dolnośląskie S.A. An extensive network of train and bus routes makes it easy to travel to both major cities and popular towns. Once you’re in Lower Silesia, trains and buses are a convenient and eco-friendly way to explore the region’s castles, mountain trails, health resorts, and picturesque spots without having to drive.

2. By plane

   Lower Silesia is also easily accessible by air thanks to Wrocław Airport, which offers numerous domestic and international flights. From the airport, you can easily reach the center of Wrocław and other towns in the region using public transportation, rail, or road transport. This is a convenient option for those planning both a short city break and a longer stay combined with exploring the attractions of Lower Silesia.

3. By car

   Lower Silesia is a region easily accessible by car from various parts of Poland and Europe. An extensive network of motorways, expressways, and national roads provides quick access to Wrocław, mountain resorts, health resorts, and major tourist attractions. Traveling by car gives you the freedom to plan your route and discover lesser-known, yet equally charming, corners of the region at your own pace.

1. Towers, terraces and viewpoints
   

   There are more than 90 towers and observation platforms in Lower Silesia, from which one can admire the region's picturesque landscapes. Most of them are located in the mountains, but there is also no shortage of those in cities, such as gate towers or town hall towers. It is worth visiting these places to see the vast mountain ranges, picturesque valleys and lakes, as well as historic towns and villages, which offer fantastic views against the backdrop of the setting or rising sun. 2. The Picturesque Giant Mountains (Karkonosze)

   The Karkonosze Mountains are a true photographer's paradise! Capture the majestic peaks of Śnieżka and Szrenica, the Czarny Kocioł Jagniątkowski (Black Cauldron), the glacial Śnieżne Kotły (Snow Cirques), and mysterious rock formations like Pielgrzymy (Pilgrims) and Słoneczniki (Sunflowers). 3. Wonderful gardens

   Untouched wilderness with minimal human interference awaits you in one of the 2 national parks or 12 landscape parks. However, it’s also worth visiting well-maintained gardens such as the English palace gardens in the Jelenia Góra Valley, the two arboretums in Wojsławice and Stradomia Wierzchnia, the French gardens in Wrocław’s courtyards (the Royal Palace, the Ossolineum, Cathedral Island (Ostrów Tumski), and the Mausoleum of the Silesian Piasts in Wrocław), the Alpine and Japanese gardens in Przesieka and Stara Morawa, and the fantastic city parks in Syców and Legnica —these are just a few suggestions.

Lower Silesia is one of the most "castle-like" regions in Europe – over a hundred strongholds, palaces, and residences are hidden among forests, valleys, and mountains. The mighty fortresses of Kłodzko and Srebrna Góra, or the Abbey in Krzeszów. At dawn, when the valleys are filled with fog and the first rays of sunlight illuminate the towers and walls, these places look like a fairytale setting. It is then that the most magical shots are created – tranquil, mysterious, and full of history.
